What's Short Term Accomodation/Respite?
Short Term Accommodation (STA) provides participants with a temporary place to stay while receiving support away from their usual home. It can provide an opportunity to experience a change of environment, build independence, try new activities and enjoy social and community participation.
STA can also give families and carers a short break from their caring responsibilities, while the participant continues to receive appropriate support in a safe and comfortable environment.
